Customize hotkeys and edit configuration directly.

Customizing Hotkeys

  1. Open Settings from the menu bar.
  2. Click any hotkey to start recording a new key combination.
  3. Press the desired modifier(s) + key. The recording shows held modifiers in real-time.
  4. Press Escape to cancel recording.
  5. Click Disable next to a hotkey to turn it off. Click Enable to record a new binding.
  6. Click Reset to Defaults in the top right to restore all hotkeys and settings.

Changes auto-save and take effect immediately.

Configuration

Settings are stored at:

~/.config/SpaceHound/settings.json

The file is JSON with the following structure:

  • version — settings schema version (currently "1.0")
  • workspaceWrap — true/false, wrap-around when navigating spaces
  • displayWrap — true/false, wrap-around when navigating displays
  • hotkeys — map of action IDs to { key, modifiers, enabled } objects, or null to disable

Editing the file manually is supported. Changes are picked up the next time settings are loaded (at app launch or when the settings window opens).
